Parent Accounts
We are delighted to be able to launch our new reporting system, LINC-ED (to be rebranded as HERO in 2020). The staff and students have been posting rich content to our LINC-ED site and we are excited to share this with you and involve you in your child’s learning journey.
Our aim has been to implement a robust system that allows teachers, parents, and students to access learning in an online environment that is secure, easy, and effective.
LINC-ED allows teachers to share learning anytime, anywhere and this can be viewed on any device. We are excited about the potential that the software offers. The report is designed to build year on year so that over time you will have access to comments, assessments, images, video and helpful resources all in one place.
NB: Parent accounts have been created using the email addresses we have been given. If you wish to update your email address, please send an email to office@stjon.school.nz

How do I access my child’s LINC-ED page?
If you know your username (registered email address) and password, you can log in directly at https://stjosephsnelson.linc-ed.com/wp-login.php. If you have never logged into your account or have forgotten your password then follow these steps:
Step 1
Visit https://stjosephsnelson.linc-ed.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
LINC-ED is supported on all modern browsers, for example Google Chrome or Safari.
Step 2
Click the Lost your Password button.
Step 3
Enter the email address you have given the school to send you communication. Click Get New Password.
Step 4
An email will be sent to you containing a link for you to click on. The link will take you to a page where you will see your new password.
If you choose to, you can delete the automatically generated password and enter your own strong, secure password then click Reset Password.
Step 5
Enjoy reading, viewing and listening to your child’s learning. Become part of the conversation by writing a comment or adding a 'Like' to the post.
Step 6
To view a child’s account, click the menu icon at the top of the web page (3 parallel horizontal lines) and select your child’s photo or image
How do I print my donation statements (for claiming back from IRD)?
Step 1
Log into your HERO account as above
Step 2
Below your child(ren)’s profile photos click the “Finance” button
Step 3
Click the “View all payments” button
Step 4
Click “View donation payments” button
Step 5
Download your tax receipt(s) as required
Step 6
The downloads are password protected Word documents. You will have to open them, then save (or print / save) as pdf documents for uploading into your myIRD
